I think everyone is missing the news about cases SCOTUS GVR(ed) A GVR is a summary disposition where, generally (although not always) based on a plenary decision, the Court grants certiorari in a case, vacates the lower court’s decision, and remands the case back to the lower court based on the Supreme Court’s plenary decision in the related case.
The court GVR(ed) Two magazine bans and an AR ban.
Basically the court has said
we Grant certiorari (we will hear the case. . . if we need to)
But 1st we vacate the lower courts ruling
and remand it back to that court to rule on it again.
WITH a reminder that we just made a ruling on gun ownership that the lower court better read BEFORE ruling on this again.
